Phenomenal
Attracted by the 3 Gambero Rosso segments I left for Gallicano to visit Casale Rufini. From the entrance you immediately notice a lot of care and attention for the customer, despite the place being very rustic. Here you don't just eat pizza but I also saw some nice meat dishes and notable first courses. Remarkable bruschetta with chicory. The supplì is the largest in size ever eaten, crunchy at the right point, it's a shame that the mozzarella hadn't melted in the center. Pizza already sliced with chicory and anchovies, very good. Pizza with thick cut potatoes and good chicory. Very fresh dessert. The ingredients are all very good, prices higher than average considering the place. Advised
I've been there with my wife 3 times in the last month, it was a wonderful discovery, both for lunch and dinner with also the pizzeria service. Everything was delicious, friendly staff, excellent grilled meat. We tried a bit of everything: appetizers with ham and burrata and crostini with truffle, first courses with pappardelle with wild boar and the classic amatriciana made in a truly traditional and delicious way. Second courses with grilled kebabs, grilled fillet and then the wonderful desserts: sour cherry tart, cantucci with passito, donuts and sweet wine. All accompanied by a good cellar of local products and an excellent selection of beers.
Ditto pizzeria, very light dough and dry and very good fried foods. It's not cheap but it's really worth it.
